DESCRIPTION:As part of our Raptor Mania summer camp\, we are welcoming Dodge Nature Center to the SMINC. Dodge’s naturalist will have a live raptor with them\, and all kinds of info about raptor behaviors\, habitats\, eating habits\, wing design\, you name it! Dodge will be here on June 10th\, from 2 to 3 p. m.\, and we’re welcoming the public to their visit! (Campers enrolled in Raptor Mania will get first choice of seating.) We’re asking a $5 donation for groups of up to four people.

DESCRIPTION:Big birds\, big wonder! This gentle\, toddler-friendly raptor program introduces children to some of the amazing birds that live around Sunfish Lake Park\, including hawks\, owls\, and eagles. \nLittle Explorer sessions are set up for families to come together and give the little ones their first experiences exploring nature. The first hour will be a structured activity based on the day’s theme. The last 30 minutes we encourage open play\, to give families an opportunity to explore on their own. Adults must stay with their children at all times.  Little Explorers camps are limited to 30 children per session and many are close to filling. DESCRIPTION:Acrylic Paint Pouring Fun!\n\nAcrylic pouring is an amazing process where fluid acrylic paints\, thinned with a special medium\, are poured directly onto the canvas—no brushes required. The result is a stunning interplay of color and movement\, with organic patterns that flow\, merge\, and transform into glossy\, abstract designs. In this workshop\, you’ll choose your own colors\, learn how to mix up the pouring medium and explore techniques such as traditional pours\, swirls\, flip cups & balloon kisses. \nCome & have fun with fluid paint movement\, color blending\, & watch how paint flows into amazing patterns\, featuring professional artist\, and friend of the nature center\, Julie Schroeder.\n\n\nFor students 8 and up.
