In Spring 2025 we made maple syrup at the Sally Manzara Interpretive Nature Center from sugar maple sap and from silver maple sap collected and pre-concentrated at home. This year we are collecting sap from maple trees from the Tree Trek #24 and #26 maples in gallon bottles, and from one maple on the north side of the trail between sign #13 and sign #14 in an orange plastic bag.   Once we have enough sap (depends on weather conditions) we will schedule the demonstration day, and list it on our EVENTS tab.  If you have questions please ask at the reception desk, or email info@sminc-lake-elmo-org – (response time is a few days)
