Camp Information:

Cost for each camp is $100. Registration form and payment information are below. Please contact us for information regarding scholarships.

June 17 – 20:  Green Thumb Gardeners-

Discover how plants grow and explore the plants native to Sunfish Lake Park. Try your hand at gardening as we help plant gardens around the nature center. Learn what plants attract butterflies and birds, and how rain gardens help the environment.

Ages 7-8:  8:30-11:30

Ages 9-11:  12:30- 3:30 

June 24 – 27:  Critter Camp-

Discover the animals that make their home a Sunfish Lake Park and critters native to Minnesota. Learn how they behave and survive. Look for signs of our critter friends as we explore and hike the trail at the park.

Ages 4-6:  8:30- 11:30 

Ages 7-8:  12:30- 3:30 

July 15 – 18:  Going Buggy-

Grab a bug net and investigate the creepy crawlers that call the park home. We’ll be hunting for bugs in the fields, woods, and muck. Learn all about insects and discover what fascinating 6 and 8 legged friends live around us. Create crazy bug art!

Ages 4-6:  8:30-11:30 

Ages 7-8:  12:30- 3:30 

July 22 – 25:  Fine Feathered Friends

Learn about our feathered friends that soar, glide, hunt, and sing. Explore and hike the park searching for a variety of birds that make their home here. Look for nests and listen for bird songs. Try your hand at nest building and make your own bird feeders.

Ages 7-8:  8:30-11:30 

Ages 9-11:  12:30-3:30 

July 29 – August 1:  Mud Puppies

We love dirt! Discover and explore how animals and plants use the dirt. We’ll play and dig in the dirt making all kinds of mud creations. Try your hand at creating beautiful art using mud. Let’s get messy!

Ages 4-6:  8:30-11:30 

Ages 7-8:  12:30- 3:30 

August 5 – 8:  Outdoor Adventures-

Learn skills that will help you navigate the outdoors and explore the wild! We will build shelters, hike, and set up camp! Learn the importance of being a steward of the environment.

Ages 7-9:  8:30-11:30 

Ages 10-12:  12:30- 3:30

You will be notified of registration confirmation within five business days via email.
