The City of Lake Elmo has approved a prescribed burn plan submitted by Stantec for Sunfish Lake Park during the fall of 2025 and the spring of 2026. Black hash marked areas are being targeted for fall burns, with burns planned for spring in the yellow-hashed areas on the accompanying map. Controlled burns could begin as soon as Wednesday, November 19, depending on weather conditions. Be on the lookout for signs indicating that there is a controlled burn in progress, and always obey trail closed signs when you are in the park.
