Local Geology, Use and Identification with Tom Goff

On Saturday, January 25th, we welcome guest speaker, Tom Goff, who has been collecting and studying rocks and minerals for over 75 years. In this talk he will be discussing locally found rocks and minerals, and will explain how these have been used, from prehistoric times to now, including by many Native American tribes. He will be bringing examples and artifacts and we also encourage everyone to bring their own rocks to see if Tom can identify them.
