The planting design was drawn up by Tara Kline who was a staff member of the Washington Conservation District. This organization provided us with a $500 reimbursement fund to help purchase the plants.  As with most anything in nature, our Rain Garden has experienced change since its inception in 2019. Some of the original species have flourished, others have not done so well. “Good” volunteer species have appeared and been welcomed, while some invasives have met strong resistance. Virginia served as Guardian of the Garden for a few years, now the Washington County Master Gardeners are taking turns on this task. Thanks to everyone who has helped.
